Eva Mendes is a great girlfriend.

Even though Ryan Gosling takes his dog George basically everywhere, sometimes, he needs a dog sitter.

In steps Eva!

She has offered to long term dog sit for Ryan while he's off in Thailand filming his new movie Only God Forgives.

A source said:

"He was going to have his friends watch George, but changes his mind at the last minute.

That's a huge deal to him. He wouldn't leave that dog with just anyone."

Wow.

They must be really serious then.

So cute.

Celebs Against McDonalds

Back in November, an undercover video showed extreme mistreatment of egg-laying hens at Sparboe Farms, who supplies McDonalds.

McDonalds quickly dropped the company but many celebs feel that that's not enough.

A letter was penned to Jim Skiner, the CEO of McDonalds.

Several celebs, including Ryan Gosling, Zooey Deschanel and Alicia Silverstone signed the letter which encourages McDonalds to buy from a facilities who uses 100% cage-free hens.

An excerpt from the letter reads:

"While McDonald's has already established a 100% cage-free purchasing policy in Europe, your U.S. restaurants continue to support egg factory farms that confine hens for most of their lives in cages so small they can’t even spread their wings.nearly anything that comes naturally to them. Common sense tells us that animals with legs and wings should be given the basic freedom to move.

Sadly, there is not a single federal law to protect hens from cruelty from the time they hatch to the time they are killed. While McDonald's brags about the "billions and billions served," millions of hens exploited for your restaurants are being grossly underserved. In fact, these animals are being abused in ways that would land your egg suppliers in jail, if dogs or cats were the victims."

You can check out the whole letter HERE.

Lets hope McDonalds gets the hint and switches to a completely cruelty-free supplier.

Ryan Gosling loves his dog George. It's so cute.

The two seem inseparable. Even though George is a big dog, he's often seen being carried by Ryan.

Ryan even takes George places where he's not welcome. Like yoga class.

Ryan Gosling and his doggy, George, were seen walking in Runyon Canyon.

He's probably taking a break from filming his new movie Gangster Squad.

Keeping that gorgeous bod in shape and spending some quality time with his furry friend. Nice.

Look at that doggy panting… must be hot out. Maybe Ryan should take off his shirt… LOLz!

Ryan Gosling Stands Up For Chickens

Ryan Gosling Peta Chickens USDA

This man is a hero!

Not only did he stop a street fight earlier this month, he is also helping PETA urge the U.S. Department of Agriculture to revoke its approval of foam-based extermination.

The method kills birds in a torturous process that can take up to fifteen minutes. The stress they endure in their final minutes is like that of being buried alive.

This is unacceptable.

In a beautiful letter, Ryan Gosling wrote:

If dogs and cats were killed in this way, the person committing these acts would be charged with cruelty to animals.

He continued, asking the USDA to only approve of humane methods, including an alternative that uses carbon dioxide to painlessly render birds unconscious.

He's also written to KFC and McDonald's in the past too.

This man is amazing — on and off screen! Thanks for being such a great role model, Ryan!!
