ANOTHER Olympic Athlete Was Robbed In Rio — This Time From Team Great Britain!

It doesn't look like Rio is getting any safer for Olympians.

Concerns over the security of athletes competing in the Rio Olympics rose once again after it was revealed a member of the Great Britain team was robbed earlier this week.

According to Scott Field, Director of Communications for Team GB, the unnamed athlete was held up "returning to their accommodation" from a night out early Tuesday morning.

This latest incident of theft has prompted officials from the GB track and field team to send an email to athletes on Wednesday warning them about the dangers of nighttime travel in Rio.

The email, obtained by The Guardian, explained that the athlete who was mugged was in "shock" but not hurt — and included a warning that traveling by taxi after dark was not safe and should be avoided, advising team members:

6-Year-Old Girl In Critical Condition After Ferris Wheel Basket Drops Passengers At County Fair!

A 6-year-old girl suffered a traumatic brain injury after she and two other girls fell from a Ferris wheel at a Tennessee county fair.

Around 6:15 p.m. EST on Monday, one of the Ferris wheel's baskets overturned at the Greene County Fair and ejected the children 35 to 45 feet to the ground.

The girls were transported to Johnson City Medical Center — two by helicopter and one by ambulance — where the youngest remains in critical condition.

The young girl's 10-year-old sister suffered injuries to her forearms. The 16-year-old's injuries were not known.

According to police, eyewitnesses have not been able to confirm reports that the seat of the basket was rocking before it overturned.

Local resident Lisa Bruner, who witnessed the incident, told press:

New York Will Ban Sex Offenders From Pokémon Go!

On Monday, New York governor Andrew Cuomo revealed the state will be working to prevent sex offenders from playing Pokémon Go!

The politician is directing the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision to ban sex offenders from the wildly popular mobile game, because he's concerned the augmented reality app could make kids vulnerable to predators.

The 58-year-old also reached out to the game's developer, Niantic, asking that they help make this restriction possible.
