Viola Davis is another celebrity who won't be at the Oscars this year. But it's not because she's boycotting!
On Wednesday, the 50-year-old admitted at Elle's 6th Annual Women in Television Dinner that she has other plans for Hollywood's big night, telling Entertainment Tonight:
"'Cause I'm gonna be on vacation."
However, just because the acclaimed actress isn't officially boycotting the ceremony, that doesn't mean she's okay with the lack of diversity in this year's nominations.

But, the gorgeous gal explained that the awards show itself isn't the actual issue at hand, saying:
"The problem is not with the Oscars. The problem is with the Hollywood movie-making system."
The How To Get Away With Murder star elaborated:
"How many black films are being produced every year? How are they being distributed? The films that are being made, are the big-time producers thinking outside of the box in terms of how to cast the role? Can you cast a black woman in that role? Can you cast a black man in that role?"
The fierce female vented that there just aren't enough opportunities available and that's the real root of the problem, dishing:
"The problem isn't even our pay. You could probably line up all the A-List black actresses out there [and] they probably don't make what one A-List white woman makes in one film. That's the problem. You can change the Academy, but if there are no black films being produced, what is there to vote for?"
But despite all the passionate protests from her colleagues, the lovely lady isn't pressuring host Chris Rock to bail on his duties, adding:
"Like I said, the Oscars are not really the issue. It's a symptom of a much greater disease. But if he does [host], I hope he takes it as an opportunity to make a statement, a social statement about change. It's 2016."
We think that would be a good way for him to keep his commitment and still make a statement! What do U think, Perezcious readers?
