We’re glad to report Amber Heard won’t be writing jokes for Stephen Colbert anytime soon.
The Aquaman star is being dragged on Twitter for a tweet in which she (jokingly, maybe?) warned the housekeepers, nannies, and gardeners of Hollywood about an ICE checkpoint.

While it seemed like the since-deleted tweet was an attempt to stand in solidarity with immigrants, the actress’ racially-charged message didn’t exactly land with followers.
She wrote:
Uh… what?
Is she joking? Actually giving advice to her friends who employ illegal immigrants? We’re not sure — and neither was the rest Twitter.
Naturally, outrage soon followed. Although some defended Amber, claiming she was being “sarcastic,” most responders iced her for using such irresponsible language.
Some responses included:
“I can see where you were going but somewhere along the way you took a wrong turn. Delete this sis.”
“I would expect you to have a little more sense than this, but… you did date Johnny Depp.”
Oooh, damn!
Amber tried to do damage control 10 minutes later, sharing a more diplomatic tweet on the current political climate:
Checkpoints on your home streets…. Is this the “great” America we’re aiming for? Raids, fences and police-state like checkpoints don’t feel like the ‘land of the free’ our immigrant ancestors built.
