Bonnie McKee, the songwriter behind No. 1 hits for artists like Katy Perry, Britney Spears, and Kesha, is sharing her take on Brit-Brit’s singing capabilities and her auto-tune usage.
In a recent interview with Myspace, Bonnie went into detail about a recent Britney concert she attended:
“It was great. Britney Spears is great. No one expects her to sing. No, it├óΓé¼Γäós fine. It├óΓé¼Γäós OK. She├óΓé¼Γäós an entertainer. Everybody loves the songs. Everybody├óΓé¼Γäós singing every word.”
That’s true! People like Britney because she’s a great entertainer, not because she has the best voice out there.
It’s nice to see that Bonnie has Britney’s back, and that she does so by being honest with our Princess of Pop.
Myspace was interviewing Bonnie to promote her new concert tour, which features some fierce fashions by Marco Marco, and to also talk about her newest single, “S.L.A.Y.”
The Grammy-nominated songwriter also revealed that she would pick Harry Styles over Justin Bieber in a game of Would You Rather, and was part of a hip-hop group with Macklemore in high school!
Bonnie, a self-proclaimed ‘Pop Star in Training,’ may be more famous as a writer now, but as we’ve seen, girl can hold her own while performing too.
