Caitlyn Jenner Will Always Be Haunted By The Fact That She Never Told Her Father About Her Gender Identity!

Caitlyn Jenner has one major regret.
On Wednesday, the brunette beauty was speaking at University of Pennsylvania‘s Irvine Auditorium, opening up about her high-profile transition last year.
The 66-year-old was fielding questions from the audience when one person asked her about coming out to her parents.

The former Olympian began to cry when she revealed that she never told her father, William, about her struggles with her gender identity.
The gorgeous gal didn’t discuss it with the World War II before he passed away in 2000, admitting:

“That will always haunt me.”

But the reality TV alum believes that, if she had told him, he would have been one proud poppa, even if he didn’t entirely comprehend it:

“I think eventually he would have come around. He would have never understood, he didn’t know anything – gay, trans, all that other stuff. But I’m sure he’s looking down from heaven right now and saying, ‘Well, you’re doing a good job.'”

The I Am Cait star did eventually talk to her mother about being transgender, and while she explained she wasn’t sure how her momma would react, she is now her “best ally.”
We know that coming out about your sexual or gender identity is an incredibly emotional, overwhelming, and scary thing to do.
And while Caitlyn didn’t get the chance to open up to her father, we’re glad she was brave enough to share her story with the entire world.
