Congrats to Carey Mulligan and Marcus Mumford!
As we reported, The Great Gatsby star shocked us all by showing up on the British Film Institute’s London Film Festival red carpet sans baby bump. While promoting her new flick Suffragette on The Graham Norton Show over the weekend, the 30-year-old actress confirmed she gave birth to a baby girl three weeks ago.

Although she didn’t offer many details about her new bundle of joy, we are thrilled to see her happy and healthy! This is Carey’s first child with her Mumford & Sons rocker husband, who she married quietly back in 2012.
Miz Mulligan isn’t one to divulge much information about her personal life, but we will take what we can get!
Changing topics during the interview, she switched the focus back to the film, which comes out October 23. She said:
“What I love about this film is it didn’t feel like a documentary about a time; it felt like a film about today. It is a film to mark the achievements of what these women did and what they gave us but also to highlight where we are in the world. We still live in a society that is sexist and that goes throughout history.”
Now that’s definitely a project her little girl can look up to!
