Channing Tatum's New X-Men Spinoff Is Less Batman & More Guardians Of The Galaxy!

With great casting comes great responsibility.
If you’re a comic book fan, then you’re probably aware that Channing Tatum was recently cast as Gambit in an upcoming X-Men movie!
And if you’re not a comic book fan, then you should start to be, because we think the Magic Mike star is going to be great in the stand-alone film.
While X-Men Apocalypse isn’t scheduled to hit theaters until May 27, 2016, Channing is already giddy about his Gambit-centric film, slated for late 2016.
In a recent interview, the 35-year-old compared writer Josh Zetumer‘s first draft of the super hero script to other comic book-based franchises before it, saying:

“None of us were sure how he was going to deal with the X-Men world. But we’re going to be changing some of the tropes of these movies. It’s always about saving the world, but maybe we’re going to shift things a little bit.
You could do it like Batman Begins, or a different take and go the Guardians of the Galaxy route. All I can say is, I’m super excited!”

We love the confidence!
Plus, you can’t really go wrong with something that’s being compared to the likes of Christian Bale and Chris Pratt.

Channing could appear in anything and we’d want to see it, but his own super hero spinoff sure does sound super to us!
Will U go out to see Gambit star in his own movie??
