Chris Hemsworth Opens Up About Thor 2

Chris Hemsworth thor 2
Chris Hemsworth is one of the biggest movie stars in Hollywood today and with the huge film projects to come, that’s not changing any time soon.
Following The Avengers, he’s starring in Ron Howard├óΓé¼Γäós Formula One racing drama Rush. And he already filmed the remake of Red Dawn, in which he takes over the role once played by Patrick Swayze. Once a script is finalized and a production date is set, the Australian hunk will be returning to Asgard to film Thor 2.
A-MAZING!! Such a dedicated thespian!!
Now listen up… while visiting Wizard World Comic Con 2012 to pump up fans for his various cinematic endeavors, he sat down to talk about the inevitable sequel.
When asked what fans should expect from his next solo outing as a seXXy God, Hemsworth said:

“I honestly haven├óΓé¼Γäót seen the script. I know that Alan Taylor is directing, I├óΓé¼Γäóve had a few conversations with him. If you├óΓé¼Γäóve seen the Game of Thrones series, it has such a mythical element that Thor has, but also such an organic reality. A lot of real locations, as opposed to green screen, a lot of great sets. I know that is certainly something they want to do with the sequel, Thor 2. Make Asgard more liveable and more tangible.”

And here’s what he had to say about making the superhero relatable to us normal people in the audience:

“Yeah absolutely, especially considering that the character begins with kind of the opposite of how the normal superhero is constructed. He doesn├óΓé¼Γäót earn his powers through the film, or begin as a normal man. Thor, he├óΓé¼Γäós already a God. It├óΓé¼Γäós quite the opposite, we have to break him down, build him back up. Kenneth Branagh just kept saying to me, ‘Lets make it truthful, lets make it real. It├óΓé¼Γäós you talking to your brother or it├óΓé¼Γäós you talking to your father, don├óΓé¼Γäót try to play a God.’ The costumes, the sets, everything else around us did that for us. For us it was about simplifying it and humanising it.”

And since everyone is STILL buzzing about The Avengers, let’s see who his favorite heroes are in the blockbuster film:

Iron Man kind of started it all, so Robert Downey Jr. is sort of the godfather of the Marvel world for all of us on that set. He kicked it all off and led the charge. I loved what Mark Ruffallo did with The Hulk, he├óΓé¼Γäós one of my favourite characters, watching what he did ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ and especially those sequences of Thor and Hulk fighting. Hulk backhanding Thor through the wall. Reading that, and on the page it said, ‘And Hulk smashes Thor and his big Norse face.'”

LOL! So funny that was actually written in the script. And so awesome that a director of Game of Thrones is taking on Thor 2!
We don’t know about U, but now our expectations for this sequel just jumped a few levels!
