Courtney Love is back with a vengeance!
After insulting Miley Cyrus’ stylist, the rock icon has officially exploded onto the the cover of Fashion magazine’s winter issue in tip top form.
Shot by Chris Nicholls, Courtney looks AH-Mazing in a curve-hugging Gucci dress and statement earrings by Carole Tanenbaum for her cover shot.
In another snap from the spread, the 49-year-old appears in a bright red Mulberry top and a matching Eugenia Kim hat.
Not only does she look great, but Courtney also opens up about her struggles with the fashion world after a stint in rehab.
She explained:
“I got really ostracized by [fashion] after I went to rehab in 2006. After I got out, no one would dress me and I sucked it up. I went to Paris, got on a plane and I was only invited to two shows. Two shows! YSL and Stella.
Then I met my stylist Panos [Yiapanis], who got me to sit down with Riccardo Tisci and he was more than happy to dress me during the biggest weight gain of my life. He renewed my faith in fashion├óΓé¼┬ªit├óΓé¼Γäós really about who you surround yourself with in your career. The next time I went back to Paris was in 2008 and I got invited to a hundred shows and the minute [Givenchy creative director] Riccardo [Tisci] said ├óΓé¼╦£she is my muse,├óΓé¼Γäó everyone threw clothes at me. That├óΓé¼Γäós just fashion├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥it├óΓé¼Γäós such a reactive community.”
And speaking of reactive people in fashion, the Miz Love additionally discussed a style-altering encounter with the often outspoken Karl Lagerfeld.
She said of the Chanel designer:
“In 2010, I was in the lobby of the Mercer and Karl said ├óΓé¼╦£What are you doing in a tutu?├óΓé¼Γäó and I said ├óΓé¼╦£I have a new record out, this is my Gaga look├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥this is my meat dress├óΓé¼Γäó and he goes ├óΓé¼╦£You├óΓé¼Γäóre never getting laid in a tutu.├óΓé¼Γäó That was when I stopped wearing my kooky clothes.”
Just shows, becoming a style icon isn’t always an easy journey!
