Imagine being this petty… can’t relate!
Donald Trump allegedly decided to run for President because he was bitter that NBC gave Gwen Stefani $10 million to appear on The Voice while he was trying to re-negotiate his own contract with the network over The Apprentice.

No, seriously. That’s the claim Michael Moore made in an interview posted to THR just a few hours ago: Trump ran for President because he was bitter that NBC gave Gwen Stefani so much money.
Let. That. Sink. In.
Moore alleged that at the time — early June, 2015 — Trump was negotiating on whether would appear on season 15 of The Apprentice, only to learn that while NBC was playing hardball with him, they handed the No Doubt singer a huge payday.
So, on June 16, 2015, Trump called NBC‘s bluff, and announced his candidacy for President, entering the Republican primary. The rest is (unfortunate) history.

Moore explained (below):
“He’d been talking about running for president since 1988, but he didn’t really want to be president. There’s no penthouse in the White House. And he doesn’t want to live in a black city. He was trying to pit NBC against another network, but it just went off the rails.”
Ho. Lee. S**t.
To be sure, it’s an allegation — Trump hasn’t ever admitted anything like this, to the best of our knowledge — but it’s exactly the level of petty that Trump would seem to be, no?!
How wild. “Deal maker” Donald Trump couldn’t settle a deal with NBC, so he bluffed with the Presidency, won by accident, absolutely hates his life/new job, and (hopefully soon) will be removed — perhaps in handcuffs.
Yeah, Donald, you’re really doing a lot of winning here! *rolls eyes*
