Girl Meets World fans got some bad news this week when original bad boy Rider Strong strongly suggested the show was ending after next month’s third season finale.
However, we’re happy to report the sky may not have fallen on the Sabrina Carpenter and Rowan Blanchard sitcom just yet… because according to the writers, Season Four is still a possibility!

While we were aware Disney Channel didn’t officially cancel the Boy Meets World spinoff in lieu of Uncle Shawn’s announcement, the GMW writers’ room flat out refuted Rider’s claims on Twitter Thursday afternoon, tweeting:
As much as I love Shawn Hunter, having created his character and everything, you have to remember that he was wrong a lot.

There is no official word as yet. Disney decision on season 4 coming soon. Officially, season 3 ends with 3 wonderful episodes in January.

Despite the conflicting reports, fans have focused their energy on getting the coming of age comedy moved from Disney Channel to Freeform for 2017… which would actually be a pretty great idea.

After all, the girls have been out of high school for an entire year now!!
