We won’t lie – we have no interest in seeing Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time other than spending two glorious hours ogling Jake Gyllenhaal’s incredible body.

That face, those biceps, those abs… DELISH!

But how did he bulk up to the buffness that he needed to be? We can all thank the French martial art of Parkour, as that was what Jake used for training for the movie. Jake explains:

├óΓé¼┼ô[I] never did anything this intensive before [to change my body]. It├óΓé¼Γäós a physical role. And when I commit to playing a part, it├óΓé¼Γäós 110 percent. We worked really closely with David Belle, who invented Parkour. I worked with a lot of gymnasts. I started jumping off of a lot of things that were padded and learned the fundamental stuff, and then slowly started working on harder surfaces, really carefully. And I├óΓé¼Γäód say, ├óΓé¼╦£OK, I├óΓé¼Γäóll try it,├óΓé¼Γäó and then I├óΓé¼Γäód say, ├óΓé¼╦£OH GOD. OH, please.├óΓé¼Γäó But then I├óΓé¼Γäód get it, and we├óΓé¼Γäód go a little further and a little longer and a little higher and just kept it up…It got a little bit dicey there near the end, when they saw that I liked doing things that were dangerous. I tried my hand at things that were pushing it a little bit. There was this big 35 foot jump that I did that got a little hairy.├óΓé¼┬¥

We’re glad you weren’t hurt, but more so, we are so glad you got this part!

We just pray that it turns into a franchise so the SMOKESHOW never ends!!!
