Howard Stern Has A WILD Solution To The Ellen DeGeneres Problem!

Howard Stern gives advice to Ellen Degeneres

Howard Stern has the perfect re-branding solution for Ellen DeGeneres!

As you likely know, the daytime queen continues to struggle with talk of her less-than-kind demeanor off screen amid reports of a toxic environment on the set of The Ellen DeGeneres Show

So far, none of the typical PR tactics have been able to quell the controversy. Ellen’s apologetic note to her staff was dismissed as disingenuous by ex-staffers and the stars who spoke out in support of the comedienne were blasted by fans. Pretty soon, Portia de Rossi was on Instagram claiming the allegations against Ellen were “bot attacks” — so it’s safe to say the situation has officially spiraled out of control.

Luckily, the curmudgeon of SiriusXM knows how Ellen can turn things around!

On Monday’s episode of his show, Stern suggested the Finding Dory star should just steer into the skid, embracing her new reputation and even using it to her advantage. He said:

“You know what I’d do if I was Ellen? I would change my whole image. I’d go on the air and be a son of a bitch. People would come on and (I would) go, ‘F**k you’ [and] just be a prick.”

LOLz! The longtime radio host, who used to beef with Ellen before becoming friends with the fellow interviewer, elaborated:

“So you think I’m a prick? I’m going to show you exactly. … I’m known on the air as a prick, but off the air, I’m known as a great guy, you know, for the most part.”

Ha! Man, having on talented kids from viral videos would be WAY different. Probably still entertaining though.

As funny as that sounds, we don’t think anyone would benefit if Ellen’s new mantra was “Be Pricks To One Another.” We mean, we already have someone doing that in national press conferences every few days…

Then again, Ellen might just be desperate enough to try anything. As we reported, the 62-year-old host apologized for any toxicity on her set in a lengthy letter sent to staff following a BuzzFeed News report in which ex-employees spoke out about the problematic culture of the production.

She wrote in the memo:

“On day one of our show, I told everyone in our first meeting that The Ellen DeGeneres Show would be a place of happiness – no one would ever raise their voice, and everyone would be treated with respect. Obviously, something changed, and I am disappointed to learn that this has not been the case. And for that, I am sorry. Anyone who knows me knows it’s the opposite of what I believe and what I hoped for our show.”

Sounds like she’s gonna stick with the “nice” routine — for now, at least.

Do U think audiences would like an overtly “mean” Ellen?
