Hundreds Of Dead Stingrays Wash Up On Mexican Beach

A weird event has happened at Chachalacas beach in the eastern Mexican state of Veracruz…

Hundreds of dead stingrays have been washed ashore!

There are over 250 dead stingrays just laying on the beach.

Veracruz’s Environment Minister has asked Mexico’s federal authorities to help investigate the strange incident.

The town’s mayor said it was “possible that the rays had got caught in nets” that fisherman use.

Residents agree it was fishermen, but say it wasn’t the nets that were the problem, but the price they were offered for their stingray catch.

Locals allege that when the fishermen didn’t get a good deal for their catch, they simply dumped them on the beach.

Though an area fisherman countered that he’d never seen any of his colleagues dump fish and if they were to dump a catch, they’d put them back into the ocean├óΓé¼┬ª alive!

So weird! It’s a mystery!
