Jake Paul Deletes Zayn Malik Tweet, Says He Was Drunk & Calls Himself A 'F**king Idiot' After Gigi Hadid's Clapback!

Jake Paul deleted his tweets about Zayn Malik after Saturday night drunken partying

As quickly as this celebrity feud grew out of nothing, so too is it now apparently over and done with. Alas!

Jake Paul deleted his eye-catching tweet about former One Direction member Zayn Malik, and admitted regret in even posting the message in the first place. Wait, is this personal growth being exemplified by the popular and often controversial YouTube star?! Crazy!!

As you’ll recall from our earlier reporting, the drama all started overnight on Saturday with Jake apparently feeling frisky (and drunk, as he’ll explain later) after the end of the Deontay Wilder vs. Tyson Fury boxing match in Las Vegas. Celebs were out in droves to attend the much-anticipated bout — Paul and Malik included — and at some point in the night the two guys crossed paths.

Hours after Fury’s big victory, Paul called out Malik in these two now-deleted tweets (below):

Them’s fightin’ words! Literally!

But now, the embattled YouTube personality has evidently thought better of his weekend antics. On Sunday evening, Paul walked back his earlier message with a (sort of?) apologetic follow-up tweet, writing:

Jake Paul declares himself a "f**king idiot" after Zayn Malik tweet
“Someone needs to take my phone when i’m drunk because I am a f**king idiot,” Paul wrote in his Sunday evening mea culpa. / (c) Jake Paul/Twitter

And, as we noted, he wiped the first two tweets there completely from his feed. Well then!

Fortunately, Gigi Hadid‘s epic response tweet calling out Jake’s “embarrassing crew of YouTube groupies” is still live as of Monday morning. Don’t EVER take that tweet down, girl!

For Jake, this marks yet another in a series of seemingly endless Paul brothers controversies. From big bro Logan‘s ill-advised suicide forest video to the “go gay for a month” prank gone wrong, and Jake’s absurd “wedding” with that super-expensive livestream attached, these two are no strangers to controversy. That one of them was involved in something like this is not exactly surprising. Hey, at least Jake told the truth in Sunday’s follow-up tweet, right?!

We’re more surprised that Zayn took the high road and didn’t respond publicly at all to the YouTuber. Good for him. And good for Gigi defending him.

Gotta say, Jake, you definitely took the “L” on this one!
