Janet Jackson Finally Gets Justice! FCC Chairman Says She Was Unfairly Treated For Super Bowl Halftime Show!

former fcc chairman admits janet jackson was poorly treated for super bowl halftime show
Well it’s about darn time!
10 years ago, Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake took the stage at Super Bowl XXXVIII for what would turn out to be one of the most controversial halftime shows of all time!
You know, the one where JT exposed Janet’s armored boobie on national television and sparked outrage from concerned mothers everywhere!!
Well Michael Powell was the FCC chairman at the time of the performance, and while he originally denounced it as “a new low for prime-time TV,” he’s now speaking out about the drama and says the whole thing may have been blown out of proportion!
He says:

“I think we├óΓé¼Γäóve been removed from this long enough for me to tell you that I had to put my best version of outrage on that I could put on. Part of it was surreal, right? Look, I think it was dumb to happen, and they knew the rules and were flirting with them, and my job is to enforce the rules, but, you know, really? This is what we├óΓé¼Γäóre gonna do?”

Of course after several years it all feels like water under the boob at this point, and as we’ve clearly seen it hasn’t really had an effect on JT’s career at all!
However, Michael went on to say that he thinks the situation was poorly handled, and that for some reason all of the blame seemed to fall on Janet:

“I personally thought that was really unfair. It all turned into being about her. In reality, if you slow the thing down, it├óΓé¼Γäós Justin ripping off her breastplate.”

That’s actually a really good point!!
Luckily it’s been long enough now that the whole thing feels like a distant memory and both pop stars went on to do just fine, but we’re sure Janet will just be glad to hear the FCC admit it could have been handled better!
And hey, it only took them a decade!
