jenelle evans loses custody and issues statement

Following her day in court, Jenelle Evans has something to say.
A judge ruled on Tuesday that Jenelle and David Eason would lose temporary custody of their children after Mr. Eason admitted to killing the couple’s adopted French bulldog Nugget, and now the controversial 27-year-old is speaking out.

The former Teen Mom star issued a statement to The Hollywood Gossip on Wednesday regarding the ongoing case:

“I am currently following what my attorney has asked. I don’t want to speak publicly on the matter currently as that will jeopardize the possibilities of getting my kids back. I love my kids so much and I will do anything necessary to get them back and that is all I want everyone to understand. I ask everyone to have an open heart before they judge how the media is portraying me. I love being a mother and David and I will get through this. We are staying strong and united.”

After a ruling by a North Carolina judge, the ex-MTV star has lost temporary custody of her 2-year-old daughter Ensley (Eason’s daughter), 4-year-old son Kaiser, 9-year-old Jace, while David has also lost custody of 11-year-old daughter Maryssa.
Radar Online insider spilled details of what happened in the courthouse:

“The judge told Jenelle that she failed to protect the children while they were in her care… The judge heard testimony that David and Jenelle were constantly screaming and arguing, and the children were terrified… [Child Protective Services] described the state of the home as horrific. It was filthy, and there were holes in all of the walls… Jenelle was sobbing in court… Jenelle believed that her lawyer was going to be able to get her children back and she seemed stunned when this happened.”

The same source added yesterday that “Jenelle is standing by David. Despite what happened, she has no plans to leave him,” which was confirmed in her own statement today.

UGH!

The TV personality’s mom, Barbara Evans, confirmed to E! News that she has custody of Jace and Ensley, adding:

“Of course I would like for Jenelle to get them all back eventually, but certain things have to happen first.”

Reportedly, Eason’s daughter, Maryssa, remains in custody with her mother Whitney Johnson. The controversial couple and their children’s current caregivers are due back in court next Tuesday to “see what the next steps are as this is a temporary custody decision.”
We can only hope Jenelle comes to her senses by then…
