Woah baby!
We hate to say it… but this episode of Jill & Jessa: Counting On wasn’t the least enjoyable thing we’ve ever seen.
It’s been a little over four months since Jessa Duggar Seewald gave birth to her son, Spurgeon Seewald, in real time, but on Tuesday night’s episode of her TLC docu-series, he’s still only 6 weeks old!

Luckily, Ben Seewald believes it’s about time for him to give his wife a break and tackle babysitting for the first time!
While Jessa doesn’t love that he calls it “babysitting” since it’s technically just parenting when it’s your kid, she agrees to give him a chance — even if she leaves in tears!
Ben actually seems to be getting the whole fathering thing down once he survives his first “diaper disaster,” and he’s one of the cutest dads we’ve seen on reality TV in a long time.
On the other side of town, Jessa joins Anna Duggar and Jana Duggar for a coffee date — but it’s Josh Duggar‘s wife who proves to be the real MVP of the show with this gem:
“My husband’s not available to babysit today, so I’m bringing Meredith along!”
Dayum, Anna!

All-in-all, we think Spurgeon was happy with the care he got from his daddy… although we’re not sure how often Jessa is actually going to volunteer to be separate from her baby.
We may not agree with their religious beliefs, but Jessa and Ben do seem to be pretty good parents.
