Harassed Gay Michigan Teen Commits Suicide

Oh no!!
A Michigan gay teen, Josh Pacheco committed suicide last month and his parents think it was caused by anti-gay bullies.
Pacheco’s mom, Lynnette Capeheart had just learned that her son was gay two months before he took his life. And while she said she would always love him the same, she and his stepfather Michael Capeheart had no idea he was being bullied.
It wasn’t until Josh attended his high school’s homecoming dance that his mother knew he was being teased. Because once the dance was over, the teen went home crying, but he never expressed why he was in so much pain.
But after his death, Lynnette found out that her son was slammed into lockers at school and was frequently harassed.
On November 27, Josh quoted a line from The Lord of the Rings character Bilbo Baggins on his Facebook, he wrote:

“I regret to announce that this is the end. I’m going now, I bid you all a very fond farewell. Goodbye.”

The teen was later found in his running truck in his closed garage with a note that read:

“I’m sorry I wasn’t able to be strong enough.”

Dang! We don’t know why people have to be so mean. It’s like they have no clue that words truly do HURT.
After Josh’s death, his school planned to create an anti-bullying hotline, which hopefully works because teasing is just plain out WRONG!!
But just remember, if you’re ever feeling down in the dumps, you can always hit up the National Suicide Hotline at 1-800-SUICIDE or 1-800-784-2433.
Or visit their website here.
