Kanye West has put a ban on glam for his 6-year-old daughter!
According to Kim Kardashian West, the Jesus Is King rapper now prohibits North West from wearing make-up and crop tops after becoming a “born again” Christian — and it’s apparently going to stay that way until she’s a teenager!
Kimmy Kakes made the revelation at the debut of her KKW Beauty at an Ulta Beauty store in New York City on Thursday, adding that her daughter is very much going through cosmetic withdrawals in the meantime.

She told E! News:
“North is trying to get in on the makeup, but she’s being blocked heavily because her dad has stopped all makeup for her until she is a teenager.”
The 39-year-old mogul admitted the makeup ban was met with some opposition from Nori, but both she and Kanye think it’s for the best.
She explained:
“It’s a big discussion, a big fight in the household right now but it is what’s best. I think as a parent you just learn and figure it out as you go and we realized we didn’t really want her to wear makeup at a young age but she sees her mom putting on lipstick and lip gloss.”
Among other things!
Kim previously allowed North to indulge in the occasional gloss, but Kanye reportedly put a stop to that last month.
The star told E! at the time:
“I think he had it, he changed all the rules… I’d let her wear, you know, she has a little red for Christmas, I’d let her wear a red lip, or I’d let her do one pop of something. I’d let her if she’s wearing a black dress, a black lip. I kind of got in trouble for that, too. So, it’s now no more makeup.”
Kanye’s new rules don’t just ban makeup, though: North’s wardrobe is also getting a more modest shake up.
In an interview on Apple Music’s Beats 1, the Grammy winner admitted he wanted his daughter to look like a pop star when she was younger — but he’s since concluded he’d rather her dress more age appropriate.
He said:
“I was literally out there making [North] try to out dress Rihanna… I don’t think North should wear a crop top after I had her wear a slip dress when she was two years old. I think and feel differently now that I am Christian.”
Kanye has a lot of opinions on what the women in his family are wearing these days. But unlike Kim, North is a young child and probably doesn’t need to be dressing like Rihanna at this point in her life.
