Andy Spade has a touching, heartfelt message for his late wife.
The 55-year-old husband of fashion designer Kate Spade — who died at 55 by suicide back in early June — posted a very touching Instagram tribute to his late wife on Monday night.

Noting that Kate had been born on Christmas Eve, Andy posted a loving picture of a Christmas tree with a heartfelt, emotional note attached that brings up so much emotion about the fashion icon, her passing, and the impact she had on those around her.
Here’s his IG post in full (below):
She was born Christmas Eve, 1962. She loved the Midwest, the desert, and the city. I was lucky enough to have dear friends let my daughter and stay at their home through a difficult time. This tree was standing alone beside the house so we ordered those multicolored, old fashioned lights from Amazon or Target and another dear personal friend gave me a really Iong extension cord and Bea and I cut a star out of the cardboard box the lights came on and wrapped it in Reynolds wrap (TM) like we do every Christmas.A post shared by Andrew Spade (@andyspade) on Jul 30, 2018 at 10:15pm PDT
So, so touching.
Can’t imagine the loss Andy continues to face of his wife of 24 years, but we know it is deep and profound. Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with the family during this difficult, emotional summer.
