Oh no!
Even though it was a long shot, we’re still saddened to hear that Kelly Rutherford‘s latest bid to keep her kids in the U.S. was rejected.
But she still has one more chance to keep her kids here before they are due to leave the country to live with their father in France on August 19th!
The Gossip Girl actress recently went to Manhattan federal court this past Wednesday where she asked the judge to intervene and change the outcome of another court who gave her ex husband Daniel Giersch custody of her two kids.
But the judge was unable to help her out since the judge apparently has no power to intervene on custody cases.
However, the federal judge has offered to possibly help Kelly Rutherford in another way! The judge may be able to figure out a way for Kelly’s ex to live in the U.S., since he’s back in France because of immigration problems, and that way the kids can stay closer to their ma!
The judge hopefully will be hosting a conference call with Kelly’s lawyer and Giersch’s lawyer this Friday!
Although Kelly Rutherford does seem to still have a shot here, she was definitely upset afterwards when she said:
“My own country won’t save my children and I pay taxes!”
Aww, we can’t even imagine!
We really hope she can somehow make it possible to keep her children closer to her.
It’s an awful rough situation for a loving mommy to be going through!
