Whether or not Khloe Kardashian will be returning as host of X Factor this season is up in the air, but it sounds like Khloe almost backed out of the gig to begin with!
Last season of XF, Khloe quickly realized just how different scripted reality TV and live TV were, when she made her hosting debut!
On this Sunday’s episode of Kourtney & Kim Take Miami, Khloe vents about her first week on the job to sisters Kim and Kourtney, while in London!
Khloe confessed:
“I just arrived in London. It’s my very first time here. I am still upset about X Factor and my first week on the show. And right now I need a little bit of comfort.”
It seems like the XF gig really got Khloe worked up, because she was even plotting the perfect way to get out of it!
Khloe spilled some more to her sisters, stating:
“Do you know what I said to mom the day of, I go, ├óΓé¼╦£I’m going to fake a heart attack just so I don’t have to come.├óΓé¼Γäó Because that’s a real excuse. I am not a nervous person. I have never felt the nerves.”
Dayum! We didn’t know it was THAT bad!
Many viewers saw those exact nerves as they tuned in each week, as Khloe stumbled on words and came across as unprepared, in comparison to her expert co-host, Mario Lopez!
Khloe explained:
“Hosting I think is one thing, I think live TV is another thing. Everyone’s like yelling in your ear, like, ‘Okay, don’t ask that question anymore. And then they count. When they get to three, they’re like, ‘Three seconds to shut up. SHUT UP!'”
It definitely sounds like she was having a rough time starting off, but we├óΓé¼Γäóre sure it├óΓé¼Γäóll get easier the more she practices and keeps at it — that is, if she decides to continue to pursue it!
In the episode, Khloe, Kim and Kourtney end up making an in-store appearance for their Kardashian Kollection launch, where she says, ├óΓé¼┼ôthis is where I’m comfortable at,├óΓé¼┬¥ and notes that it ├óΓé¼┼ôseems so much easier and so much less pressure.├óΓé¼┬¥
We gotta give Mz. Kardashian-Odom credit for trying something new and sticking with it until the end of the season!
