Kim Kardashian Says She Isn't 'Homophobic' For Taking A Swipe At Tyson Beckford's Sexuality: 'All My Best Friends Are Gay'

Kim Kardashian West is many things, but a homophobe isn’t one of them… says Kim Kardashian West.
The KUWTK star addressed the backlash she faced after she clapped back at actor Tyson Beckford last week for body shaming her by calling him “sis” and implying he was gay.
Many commenters found this swipe at Beckford’s sexuality to be inappropriate and homophobic — but Kimmy Kakes says the very idea of her being homophobic in any way is laughable.

Why? Because all her besties are gay!
During a Real 92.3 interview Thursday morning, the makeup mogul said she stood by her decision to defend herself against Beckford’s body shaming, telling Big Boy:

“Really, dude? Like, you’re going to body-shame me? Like, okay. Okay. Okay, sis. You’re going to body-shame me?”

Kim added that she found Beckford’s relentless remarks about being “unimpressed” with her body to be “so female lame,” so she felt he more than deserved to be dubbed “sis”:

“People were sending me stuff on his page, he keeps on going and going and going, and I’m just like, dude, that’s so female lame to me. That’s just lame to me. And for anyone to say that I am homophobic with the comment of saying sis? All my best friends are gay, I support the community, I love the community, they love me, that has nothing to do with this.”

We don’t think she’s homophobic, but insulting someone by insinuating that they are gay, whether or not it’s true, is implying that being gay is something to be ashamed about. Sure, it’s not conversion therapy-level homophobia, but it’s definitely still seen by many as problematic.
How have her gay besties not explained this to her yet???
