Kourtney Kardashian Talks A Little Natural Health! Find Out How This Momma Stays Healthy!

kourtney kardashian talks a little natural health find out how this momma stays healthy
We LOVE learning about this pregnant momma!
And how she keeps looking so flawless!
Kourtney Kardashian is on the September/October cover of Natural Health magazine, and the older sister of Kim and Khloe Kardashian revealed a lot!
Including how her healthy eating these days was something she had to learn by herself!
Here’s what she said:

“I was not raised this way├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥people just weren├óΓé¼Γäót as aware of healthy eating as they are today. When I got home from school, my snack was a bag of chips or cookies, and as an adult, I didn├óΓé¼Γäót even know what organic meant├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥I├óΓé¼Γäód just go to the market and buy the same things my mom bought. I didn├óΓé¼Γäót really have any thoughts about it before I had my kids. Starting off, I was big on breastfeeding; I nursed my first for 14 months and my second for 16. That was important to me. Then I began making their baby food myself, all of it organic. After that, I was super cautious about what to introduce into their diets. I called a bunch of the restaurants in my neighborhood that I had assumed served all-organic food, and so many didn├óΓé¼Γäót!”

Although she tries her best to make sure everything her kids eat is something she approves of – she admits that there ARE exceptions! Here’s what she said:

“We definitely make exceptions, like if we’re at Disneyland. But we eat organic when we can, and I try to keep healthy food and snacks at home, where I have the most rules and restrictions. I saw my mom making meals for my kids, and I said, ‘This is the cheese you use? This is the butter?’ But I guess that’s just part of going to Grandma’s house.”

Kourtney also explained how she prepares meals in her home, and how she prefers natural treatments to help her kids – Mason and Penelope – rather than medicine. Although she’s not opposed to medicine completely! She said:

“I got really into Ayurveda and did the Panchakarma cleanse [a detoxification treatment involving massage, herbal therapy and other procedures]. Through that, I met my yoga teacher, who taught me her way of preparing food. We would do yoga for an hour and then she├óΓé¼Γäód stay for another hour and cook with me. That├óΓé¼Γäós where I got all of my rules. In our house, we do everything whole: whole milk and full-fat cheeses. And I use ghee and coconut oil for cooking. I turn to my Ayurvedic friends for health advice when it comes to my kids, too. If Mason or Penelope has a rash, I├óΓé¼Γäóll look into natural treatments first. But they have their pediatrician, and I’m not afraid to give them medicine if it gets to that point.”

And even though Kourtney tries her very best to eat healthy during her pregnancy, she admits that sometimes her baby bump leads her to some pretty unusual food choices! She said:

“I try to eat pretty healthy, but I think it’s fun and important to listen to your cravings. I develop a thing for Nilla Wafer cookies every time [I’m pregnant]. I have no idea why! I’ve also been into cheese and pickle sandwiches. Everyone thinks I’m gross when I order them.”

And last but not least: yoga is a BIG help for her during her pregnant days! In terms of remaining calm! Although she hasn’t been so proactive with it this time around. She said:

“I did yoga during my last pregnancy. I was anxious, and it just helped me feel calm. There are lots of good yoga studios out here in the Hamptons, so I might start again.”

Fascinating stuff!
We LOVE how committed Kourtney is to her healthy lifestyle, and how she makes sure she not only experiences such health benefits but that her family does, as well!
Now that’s what we’d call some solid parenting!
Looks like that future baby of hers will be well equipped to handle the rigors of life! And a lot of that preparation will be because of the baby’s mommy!
