All of the feels!
The One Direction five-year reunion bonded all of the boys back together — at least on Twitter.
On Thursday, Liam Payne took to the social media site to send his thanks to his bandmates (past and present).
He posted:
Wowwwww 5 years 5 boys what an amazing journey I couldn’t thank you all ever enough and thank you Louis Niall Harry and zayn for everything

Aww! Apparently, Zayn Malik caught wind of the nice gesture and sent a sweet response back.
He wrote:

Though we think we’d be happier if the post said he was returning to the boyband. WE KID!
Nonetheless, it’s been an inneresting year for 1D with Zayn’s departure and Louis Tomlinson‘s recent baby news. Many superfans are worried that these events could signal the end for the popular group.
Recently, the band’s creator Simon Cowell noted:
“In terms of the band, they’ve got enough hits now they can take some time off and do some other stuff they want to do. Then I hope they’ll have a little bit of time apart and want to get back together again. It’s a fun job, but it’s absolutely their decision.”
Whomp, whomp.
But hey, if the Backstreet Boys can take time off, so can One Direction. Regardless, the foursome hasn’t indicated that they’d be taking a break anytime soon.
Who knows — maybe Zayn will make his way back to his former bandmates in the future?!
