Uh oh, it’s a model/popstar Twitter feud!
It all started with the lyrics in the opening verse of Lily Allen‘s song Insincerely Yours…
British model Jourdan Dunn was none too happy to be mentioned in the song and have her name followed by some lines about “ugly kids,” which the model seems to have interpreted as a diss against her son Riley.
So she tweeted at Lily for clarification, saying:
The last two lines of the verse are, “I don’t give a f*ck about your Instagram/About your lovely house or your ugly kids.”
Lily quickly responded to Jourdan’s tweet with this explanation:
We have to say that the first half of the verse seems to be targeting magazines for using the same models all the time, like Cara Delevingne, Jourdan herself, and Rita Ora.
Then the second half seems to just be a general annoyance with people broadcasting everything about their lives on Instagram.
But Lily’s response wasn’t enough for Jourdan, who fired off a sarcastic retort!
Finally, Lily ended things by telling people that if they don’t like her songs, they should just not pay attention to them.
I'm sick of explaining my lyrics to people, they're pop songs, no more, no less. If you don't get it or like it, look the other way. Simples
