Lisa Barlow Says Upcoming RHOSLC Season Will Be ‘Most Iconic' Ever Without Former Co-Star Monica Garcia!

Lisa Barlow Says Upcoming RHOSLC Season Will Be ‘Most Iconic Ever’ -- Even Without Former Co-Star Monica Garcia!

There’s one question that has been on everyone’s mind since the explosive fourth season of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City wrapped: will the cast be able to top themselves next season?

Many fans don’t seem to believe the ladies have it in them! Especially since fan-favorite Monica Garcia got axed due to her part in the Reality Von Tease Instagram account that exposed convicted fraudster Jen Shah and bullied the women. However, Lisa Barlow believes she and her cast members are about to have their best season yet! She told People on Thursday:

“I feel like this year might be our best year ever, just based on what I’ve seen and heard and how things are going so far. I actually think it’s going to be the most iconic season ever. I feel like every season everyone’s like, ‘They’re not going to be able to top that. That’s never getting top. That was it. That’s like their peak. They’re done.’ And every single year we bring it.”

Hmm. We’ll give them that hat tip. Since the beginning, RHOSLC has delivered top-notch drama. Nothing quite compared to the Reality Von Tease of it all, but they’ve proven themselves time and time again to give viewers a solid season. The cast will have to pull out all the stops next season, though, if they want to keep fans on board! They’ve already lost a ton of viewers who loved Monica and refused to watch RHOSLC anymore now that she’s gone! So we will need some more Oscar-worthy performances from Lisa, Meredith Marks, Whitney Rose, Heather Gay, and Angie Katsanevas!

What can we expect from the show moving forward? While Lisa could not get into the specifics of what will happen next season, she did give everyone a teaser! The Vida Tequila owner alluded to some new additions to the group, saying:

“Utah is home to so many interesting dynamic people. I think what makes a show so good is when you stay vulnerable, the issues are still real. We always have someone new coming to mix things up, but then there’s still other issues that surface from the year prior that you have to address. So I feel like just based on what I’ve experienced, I think the season’s going to be, ‘Wow,’ in a totally different way.”

These newbies better step it up! They have some big shoes to fill! Lisa then noted how her co-stars not only “need closure” from what happened last season with Monica but also their lingering issues with Jen:

“The [season 4] reunion gave us some closure where we’re like, ‘OK, this is what it’s like to film with Monica.’ So now the world saw it. She yells out these jeers, says insults and then gets quiet and then makes herself the victim.”

Since Monica “learned from Jen and Jen’s tactics,” Lisa feels the group never got a “reprieve” or “got to just move forward” once Jen left the show and went to jail:

“I feel like this is the season where we’re going to get to really elevate and be free of that point in our life that we really want to move on from. I don’t want to think about the Feds, Homeland Security and PD showing up anymore. It’s not interesting anymore. We’ve been there, did that.”

Ultimately, the businesswoman thinks the cast of RHOSLC will “blow everybody away again” — even without Monica in the picture moving forward:

“I think, just like with Salt Lake, I think just when you think you’ve seen everything, there’s always more.”

Lisa seems pretty confident about next season! Whether fans agree Season 5 will be the “most iconic ever,” we will have to wait for when the episodes drop to find out! What do YOU think, Perezcious readers? Do you think the cast will be able to pull off a better season without Monica? Sound OFF in the comments!
