We, along with a whole bunch of other people, were shocked to hear that Olympic hurdler Lolo Jones was going to try and enter the Sochi Olympics… mainly because Sochi is a Winter Olympics, and winter doesn’t have hurdling!
That’s when she said she’d be trying to get into BOBSLEDDING instead!
Well, as it turns out — it was a pretty good move, and she couldn’t be happier! She HAS been selected to compete!
Here’s what she said about it on Facebook:
‘Everything that happens has significance. God works all things for his good and glory. God can turn a mistake to redirect you. He can use a hurdle blocking your path to put you on the right path. It is all part of His plan.’
She even changer her Twitter bio to Olympic Bobsledder! If that doesn’t make it official, we don’t know what does!

Her failed attempt to win gold as a hurdler only make her view her past as a means to where she is now:
‘It didn’t make sense in 08 or 12 but who would have thought those mishaps would put me on the path to be a Winter Olympian.
‘I push a bobsled but bobsled pushed me to never give up on my dreams. I am honored and excited to say I am on the 2014 Winter Olympic Team. Thank you to all the fans who have encouraged me to never give up.’
So COOL!
It’s just a shame she’ll have to go up against the Jamaican Bobsled team, because if movies have taught us anything — the underdog is where the world’s heart is!
