Athletes make SOOO much money from their sponsors, that they essentially become walking billboards during big events and tournaments.
But Maria Sharapova is planning on taking endorsement to a whole new level as she’s actually considering changing her name to promote her very own candy line, Sugarpova!
According to sources, the tennis superstar is looking into the possibility of a “quickie name change” and has already contacted the Florida Supreme Court about her interesting inquiry!
If everything goes according to plan, she’ll be referred to as Maria Sugarpova for the duration of the U.S. Open and will change her name back as soon as the tournament is over!
Maria has poured a lot of money into her sweet business venture, so it makes sense that she would want to promote it any way she could. But we’re not quite sure how we feel about her sugary name change!
