So much for that pre-nup settlement that looked like a done deal!!
Negotiations between Mariah Carey and James Packer have COMPLETELY broken down, and the exes are threatening each other with lawsuits and more as the fallout from their breakup continues!

Just as we started to learn yesterday, it now appears that James has drawn the line on Mariah, arguing he owes her absolutely NOTHING — and that is sure to draw some ire from her side!
Basically, according to TMZ, Packer’s argument centers on the fact that since he and Carey were never married, he doesn’t owe her anything and there’s no legal basis for him to pay out on a pre-nup that doesn’t exist.
But on the other hand… Carey’s team is claiming that James actually used her stardom to secure business deals for himself, dragging her to meetings and sealing money moves thanks to her celebrity — and she deserves a cut of that!
Interesting argument on her part, for sure, and they’ve even gone so far as to call Packer a “lying opportunist.” Whoa!!

She still wants that $50 million from him, but what’s maybe most likely is a smaller payout, on his end, just to get her to settle the threats of lawsuits and leave Packer alone.
We shall see… regardless, it looks like it’ll be a VERY good holiday season for the legal teams of these two! Ha!!!
