Meghan McCain Doesn't Have Time For Elisabeth Hasselbeck & Calls George & Kellyanne Conway 'Gross'!!

OMG, we do not always agree with Meghan McCain, but when she’s on she’s on — and she was ON FIRE on Watch What Happens Live on Wednesday night!

Host Andy Cohen couldn’t help but ask about the experience of meeting Elisabeth Hasselbeck when the OG The View co-host returned for a guest appearance last month.

Meghan had said just a few months prior how much Hasselbeck had meant to her growing up, telling Entertainment Tonight in September 2019:

“I used to watch The View in college and she was really such an icon for young Republican women, and I hope I’m giving that to anyone that’s watching. I know there’s people in the middle of the country that feel like they’re really happy that someone is representing them.”

Well, there’s a reason they say don’t meet your heroes.

Hasselbeck confused and angered many with her approval of Donald Trump‘s handling of the coronavirus pandemic, which has seen the US fail to accumulate and distribute testing kits — and quickly jump to the most fatalities of any country in the world. Not only that, she downplayed the virus and suggested a strategy of… praying it away:

“There can be a fine line between what is taking precaution and what is panic. Yes, we’re going to take precautions, we’re going to Purell, pray that God’s got us in our tomorrows, right? We pray that this coronavirus is extinguished, that it’s stopped in its tracks. I think we should prepare. I think we should pray.”

Andy, who is recovering after being infected with the coronavirus himself, asked Meghan what she thought of that sentiment.

The new model of daytime TV conservative responded:

“Yeah, somebody actually sent me a screenshot of my face when she said that. I took this virus seriously from the very beginning and I thought a lot of this rhetoric was really dangerous and I think it’s really, really unfortunate and dangerous that she said that.”

Couldn’t agree more. And she’s far from alone in making dangerous claims about COVID-19.

Then Meghan drew a line in the sand, declaring:

“And I don’t need to co-host with her again. And it’s unfortunate, because I’ve been a huge fan for a long time and anyone who’s screwing around with this virus and putting out certain misinformation, I don’t really have a lot of time for right now.”

Yasss! Why is it Meghan is so much better on WWHL? Maybe because she feels like she can be herself…

But wait! There’s more!

The lifelong Republican also responded to Andy’s question of whether she would cross the aisle in November and vote for Democrat Joe Biden. She said:

“I keep telling everyone, ‘I promise you will know who I’m voting for,’ but it really shouldn’t take a rocket scientist to know there’s one man who has made pain in my life a living hell and another man who has literally shepherded me through the grief process. This really shouldn’t be rocket science for people.”

Well, we knew she wasn’t voting for Trump. The man has consistently mocked her father, John McCain, for being a prisoner of war — even suggesting he was in hell after his passing in 2018.

But plenty of people who thought he was awful abstained rather than voting for a Democrat in 2016 — which left us where we are now. While this isn’t an explicit endorsement, it’s clear she’s voting for Uncle Joe.

“I’m always like ‘my heart over my head,’ in so many different ways. The Trumps are always making my mom cry and I just think politics is personal, too. I think character is really important in this moment — somebody who can tamp down fear and anger instead of making it worse.”

Darn right.

Oh, but the sass wasn’t over.

In a game of White House or Housewife with Erika Jayne and Congressman Eric Swalwell, the subject of George and Kellyanne Conway — who, respectively, attack the President’s mental health and defend him with lies and irrational nonsense — came up.

Well, Meghan didn’t hold back in blasting the couple, saying:

“I think it’s awful and I think that they have four kids that are going to read this crap and I think it’s awful on both their parts. I think it’s weird. I don’t care if it’s their kink or whatever, I think it’s horrible. Like, marriage anti-goals.”

Their kink? Ha! AH-Mazing!

When asked if she thought the beltway couple discuss politics at home, she answered:

“You have to. Ben [Domenech] and I — my husband — we can’t not talk about the news. And if you’re working in the White House and somebody hates the president more than anything, how can you not? So, I think they’re both gross. Both of them.”

And before Andy could switch topics, she added:

“Don’t call me or email me, Kellyanne — I don’t care. She does that every time I say something. I’m not interested.”

YASSSS! So good to see Meghan looking fighting fit during the pandemic!

What do YOU think of Hasselbeck, Biden, and the Conways? Agree with Meghan?? Let us know in the comments (below)!
