Mel B and Stephen Belafonte‘s split continues to be a disaster.
In a new court filing obtained by The Blast, a friend of the couple, Derek Craig Daniel, claims he ran into the Spice Girl back in February and he recalls her saying she “would be better off” if Stephen were dead. Daniel even goes as far as to say Mel “solicited him to either harm or find someone to help her harm Stephen.” Hm.

Turns out, Daniel supposedly relayed this information to Stephen a few weeks ago and now this filing has been made. Stephen, as you know, is demanding the songstress fork over millions of dollars in legal and accounting fees, not to mention the increased spousal support. We’re sure there’s no coincidence there!
The filing said:
“She repeatedly told me that everyone including her would be better off if Stephen was in jail or dead. I specifically recall Melanie repeatedly stating that she would be better off if Stephen were dead … I found the statements to be alarming and it was obvious to me that Melanie was soliciting me to either harm or find someone to help her harm Stephen.”
With friends like these, who needs enemies!
