A Mrs. Doubtfire Musical Is Currently In The Works! Uh, Did YOU Ask For This?!?

Who asked for this film to be turned into a musical? WHO?!?
Regardless of who decided this was a good idea, we’re looking at you Disney, Mrs. Doubtfire is now being turned into a musical and we don’t really know why.
Sure, the film starring the late Robin Williams is a CLASSIC, but come on!

Anyway, Oscar-winning composer Alan Menken, knowing for doing the music for The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and so many more, revealed he’s currently working on musical based on Mrs. Doubtfire.
He revealed:

“Harvey Fierstein is writing the book, David Zippel is writing the lyrics, I’m writing the music, and it’s going very well. It’s in its early stages, and that’s probably all I can say. We’re really enjoying working on it.”

Soooooo, maybe the musical will be better than expected?
Ya know because all of the people working on it have proved how pretty freakin’ AH-MAZING they are…
