This is so sad!!
A driver named Jason Leffler from NASCAR was killed in an accident Wednesday night after a heated race in a dirt car event in New Jersey.
He was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. He was 37 years old.
Here’s what NASCAR said in a statement:
“NASCAR extends its thoughts, prayers and deepest sympathies to the family of Jason Leffler who passed away earlier this evening. For more than a decade, Jason was a fierce competitor in our sport and he will be missed.”
What’s even more heartbreaking is Mr. Leffier leaves behind a 5-year-old son named Charlie Dean.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Leffier’s family during this tremendously difficult time.
