As if we really needed ANOTHER reason these two make the perfect parents!
On Monday, Neil Patrick Harris took to Instagram to celebrate his twins’ birthday, and the results are TOO adorable! Harper and Gideon, who he shares with husband David Burtka, turned five on October 12!
So, the famous fathers rang in their big day with the most incredible cake we think we’ve ever seen! Ch-ch-check it out (above)!
The Best Time Ever host captioned the precious pic:
“Happy 5th birthday to Gideon and Harper, the two greatest kids in all the land! (Cakes created and decorated by their fathers)”
From a distance, the detailed desserts look like edible sandcastles — joined by the cutest little bridge — with the little lady’s side teeming with colorful flowers, while the young boy’s features a crashed spaceship!

And just for good measure, the children’s respective halves are marked with their initials!
But the How I Met Your Mother alum also gave his followers some clarity, posting close-up shots of the creative confection, and it turns out there was actually a battle brewing! He captioned Harper’s half:
“Birthday cake detail. Droids fighting princesses.”
And then gave us a status update while sharing Gideon’s portion:
“The droids were mostly winning, but princesses have gumption.”
