Power Nap Instead Of Coffee Breaks

Nap Time
Instead of taking 20 minutes for a coffee break, perhaps you should be taking a 20 minute power nap and just grab a bottle of water on your way back to your desk — because it’s starting to look like a quick naps completely outweighs the benefits of a jolt of caffeine!
A power nap will boost your memory, cognitive skills, creativity, and energy level:

“You can get incredible benefits from 15 to 20 minutes of napping. You reset the system and get a burst of alertness and increased motor performance. That’s what most people really need to stave off sleepiness and get an energy boost.”

Different levels of nap mean different things, too. 20 minutes enhances alertness and motor skills. 30-60 minutes boosts memory and creativity, along with decision-making skills, such as memorizing vocabulary or recalling directions. 60 to 90 minutes of napping, plays a big part in making new connections in the brain and solving creative problems!
The boost you get from coffee might actually make you prone to more mistakes.
Napping regularly can reduce stress AND lower the risk of heart disease!
To us, this is an easy choice.
Now if we could only get more employers to recognize the benefits!
