Quentin Tarantino Says The Confederate Flag Is The 'American Swastika' And It's 'About Damn Time' We Got Rid Of It!

As our nation makes progress into slowly wiping away traces of the Confederate flag, Quentin Tarantino says it’s “about damn time.”
The director’s latest film The Hateful Eight reflects race relations in the U.S. right after the Civil War.
And while the film takes place well over a hundred years ago, the director noted how recent events made the film “more relevant than we ever could have imagined.”

The filmmaker discussed the impact of incidents like the Charleston shooting and the 2014 death of Michael Brown, and was surprised when state capitols began wiping away traces of the confederate flag — a symbol that Tarantino calls an “American swastika.”
Speaking to Britain’s Telegraph, the 52-year-old said:

“All of a sudden, people started talking about the Confederacy in America in a way they haven’t before. I mean, I’ve always felt the Rebel flag was some American Swastika. And, well, now, all of a sudden, people are talking about it, and now they’re banning it, and now it’s not OK to have it on f├óΓé¼ΓÇ£king license plates, and coffee cups, and stuff.
People are starting to question about stuff like statues of Bedford Forrest [the Confederate general and Ku Klux Klan Grand Wizard] in parks. Well, it’s about damn time, if you ask me.”

We totally agree!
With huge southern Universities removing statues of Confederate presidents, our country is really making strides to discontinue the glorification of a particularly unsettling past!
What do YOU think??
