Ex-Cincinnati Bengals Cheerleader Stands Trial In Her Defamation Case

sarah jones ex bengals cheerleader in court defamation lawsuit

This has nothing to do with her banging an underage boy, just so you know.

Ex-Cincinnati Bengals cheerleader Sarah Jones is standing trial on Tuesday for her defamation case against thedirty.com.

Back in 2009, two anonymous people posted that Sarah did IT with every player on the Bengals football team and likely had two STDs. (At least they would have been of legal age!)

Not surprisingly, the former teacher denied all of these things and is suing the website operator Nik Richie.

This trial ended with a hung jersey back in January.

The tricky part is that Jones already copped a deal for her first-degree sexual abuse of a minor charges in relation to her now-fiance Cody York.

Her lawyer, Eric Deters, urged the jury to ignore those charges, but David Gingras, Richie’s attorney, said:

“Felony convictions are relevant to a person’s credibility. You must judge Sarah’s reputation based on her actions.├óΓé¼┬¥

Hells ya!

Gingras also added that Sarah was suing for $11 million in damages, but that she hadn’t lost any money as a result of the posts.

Um, DUH! They couldn’t have damaged her reputation that badly if she still got a teaching job!

Then Gingras continued to lay it on thick, saying that there were text messages between Sarah and Cody where she talked about buying him a new car with the damages money from this trial.

However, Sarah predictably said that was a joke and also added that she never specified an amount of money, saying, ├óΓé¼┼ôYou can’t really put a damage on the way you feel.├óΓé¼┬¥

Her lawyer added that they just want to win to show websites that they can’t “commit defamation.”

Wow! This sounds like a lot of he-said-she-said.

Sarah is going to take the stand again on Tuesday, so we’ll keep you posted with more deets!
