Selena Gomez‘s Revival promo tour is never ending!
And we’re not complaining!
The beautiful Same Old Love songstress has not only bravely opened up about her lupus diagnosis, but she’s also ready to have the final word about her ex Justin Bieber.

In a recent interview with Refinery 29, she admitted:
“I think people really wanted to see me fail. I’d sit down in an interview and get the most harshly asked questions. Of course I got my heart broken. Of course I was pissed about it. There, everybody has it. I was so disappointed, because I never wanted my career to be a tabloid story.”
Such an honest answer. And does she have any final words on their former relationship? Selly reveals:
“Ha, I wish. At this point, there is no anger. There’s closure in a very good, healthy way. We’ve seen each other. I’m always encouraging and I am proud of his journey. I think people are making it out to be something that is more tragic than it really was. We grew up together. We both made mistakes. That’s it.”
Putting the past behind her, she even talks about embracing her sexuality for Revival, sharing:
“It’s not something where I’m like, let me glorify what I do in the bedroom. But I think I have a very healthy perspective on my sexuality. It’s part of being an adult, and I’m still figuring out how to be one of those, too.”
But issues this PSA:
“Do not try to date me right now.”

On coming back with this album: “The year wasn’t just me trying to transition in my career ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ it was my whole life. I had to reconfigure everything. That was a little uncomfortable and very scary. I didn’t have anything to fall back on. At the same time, the public perception of me was unfair and very invasive. I was trying to figure out all my own stuff in my personal life while everybody had an opinion.”
On her friends embracing their sexuality: “Everyone has found their identity in a really interesting way. We didn’t come out as these robots that looked and dressed the same. We had to go through our own shit. At the end of the day, it’s respecting every female artist’s choice in how she expresses herself, because that’s what she wants.”
What does Selena want people to know about her, if nothing else: “I’m just a nice person.”
