Simpsons Co-Creator Helps Blackfish Car Afford Entering The Talladega Race!

Thanks to The Simpsons’ co-creator Sam Simon, Former NASCAR driver Leilani Munter is going to take her Blackfish car racing!
One of the only reasons she’s even going to be able to enter her car in Talladega at all is because Sam helped her raise the massive $115,000 entry fee for the race.
Leilani was on Sam’s radio show last week, taking about her car and how she’s an orca-activist. He was apparently so moved by her that he donated to her $107,500! That combined with what she had already gotten in donations allowed her to pay the entry fee!
Sam had even visited Taiji a few months ago, the place where The Cove was filmed, and became very outspoken about the treatment of orcas. So he obviously was glad to help!
Leilani wants to win the race on behalf of orcas everywhere who are stuck in captivity.
Sam, who has terminal colon cancer, has vowed to give away his fortune before he dies, mainly to animal groups and to feeding the hungry.
That’s amazing! There need to be more people in the world like Sam.
