Taylor Swift Lets Todrick Hall Take The Mic At The MTV VMAs To Accept THIS Award!

Taylor Swift lets Todrick Hall take the mic

Taylor Swift haters are going to find every reason to tear into this moment!

At the MTV VMAs on Monday, the songstress’ video for You Need to Calm Down took home the “Video For Good” award, but it wasn’t the 29-year-old who accepted the award!

Taking the stage with many of the cast of the visuals, Tay handed over the Moonman to a shocked Todrick Hall, who gave the speech on their behalf.

Swift’s bestie and co-producer of the YNTCD video told the audience:

“If you’re a young child that’s out there watching this show who is different, who feels misunderstood, we have never needed you more than now to share your art, share your story, share your truth with the world.”

He continued, which you can see in the clip (below):

Everyone was expecting T.Swift to say a word, but she didn’t even try to take the mic! Instead, she let Todrick have that moment, which we’re sure will have trolls calling her fake.

It seemed genuine enough to us, though!

In case you haven’t seen their video, You Need to Calm Down rolled a still at the end with info telling Swifties to support her petition for the Equality act:
