The Good Wife Drops Surprise Super Bowl Commercial -- Confirming Cancellation!

no title
We’re gonna go out on a limb here and assume you watched at least part of the Super Bowl on CBS.
Maybe it was for the game, maybe for the halftime show, maybe even just the commercials…
But if you tuned in just because you thought The Good Wife was going to be on at its regularly scheduled time, you got TWO pieces of bad news Sunday night.
If you managed to make it through the entire thing, then chances are you noticed that Julianna Margulies and her team tried to slip in a casual commercial confirming that the current seventh season of the Emmy-winning series will be the last!

Ever since TGW became a one-woman show somewhere in Season Six, it lost the ensemble feel that made it a hit, but we’re still excited to see how Robert and Michelle King wrap things up.
This also means they only have nine more episodes to bring back some combination of Ren├â┬⌐e Elise Goldsberry, John Benjamin Hickey, Carrie Preston, Mike Colter, Dreama Walker, Aya Cash, Jess Weixler, Sarah Steele, Mamie Gummer, Martha Plimpton, and Ben Rappaport… or else we won’t feel very good about the ending.
Still, we’ve been absolutely loving Cush Jumbo and Jeffrey Dean Morgan in for Archie Panjabi and Josh Charles these last 13 episodes!
Hopefully they figure out how to include Matt Czuchry, Christine Baranski, Alan Cumming, and Zach Grenier before it ends — they are still main characters after all!
