no title
How heartbreaking.
As we reported, a black French Bulldog died on United Airlines flight #1284 from Houston to New York City on Monday after an attendant instructed the pet’s owner to stow the dog in the overhead compartment.
Catalina Robledo was traveling with her 11-year-old daughter Sophia Ceballos and two-month-old son returning from Houston, Texas, where Robledo├óΓé¼Γäós husband was working. They brought their 10-month-old Frenchie, Kokito, along for the trip. Upon landing, they found Kokito wasn’t responsive after being stored in the overhead bin by a flight attendant.

Speaking with Good Morning America on Wednesday, Sophia shared emotionally:

“He was a member of our family. He was like my brother to me.”

The preteen went on to recall:

“We were gonna put him under the seat and then the flight attendants came, she said, ├óΓé¼╦£You have to put him up there because it├óΓé¼Γäós going to block the path.├óΓé¼Γäó And we├óΓé¼Γäóre like, ├óΓé¼╦£It├óΓé¼Γäós a dog, it├óΓé¼Γäós a dog.├óΓé¼Γäó And she├óΓé¼Γäós like, ├óΓé¼╦£It doesn├óΓé¼Γäót matter you still have to put it up there.’ She helped her put it up, and she just closed it like it was a bag.”

She later told Today of finding her puppy dead:

“My mom got up and got the bag, and she took him out, and she├óΓé¼Γäós like, ├óΓé¼╦£ Kokito, Kokito, wake up!├óΓé¼Γäó and he didn├óΓé¼Γäót.”

So sad.

We just don’t see how this could ever happen. Rest in peace, Kokito.
