Vintage Karl Lagerfeld!

Wow.

Long before he became the sunglass wearing creative director at Chanel, a 20-something year old Karl Lagerfeld competed in the 1955 International Wool Secretariat’s design competition.

Karl ended up losing to Yves Saint Laurent, but we think things turned out just fine for him.
