Whitney Houston’s Mom DISGUSTED By Invitation To Pre-Grammy Party Honoring The Late Singer

It’s almost been a year since the great Whitney Houston passed away before Clive Davis’ annual pre-Grammy party.
And now that it’s that time of year again, many have been wondering what will happen with the legendary bash.
Clive and the Recording Academy will not only be honoring Whitney at the party this year, but it will still be held at the same hotel where the singer was found dead and in the same ballroom where the news was broken to guests.
And while we don’t know what is yet planned for the tribute to Whitney, we do know her family has been invited which has one of them PISSED.
Whitney’s mom, Cissy Houston, is outraged Clive would invite her to a party where her daughter passed away as she commented:

├óΓé¼┼ôI got an invitation to the party, which is the most obscene thing. I don├óΓé¼Γäót know why they would want me to come to the party in which she died, you know? Unheard of … I guess maybe he just sent me a copy for remembrance sake.├óΓé¼┬¥

We can definitely understand why she’d be so opposed to the whole thing, but we’re sure Clive meant no harm or insult in inviting her as he’s just trying to pay Whitney the honor she deserves. He said:

├óΓé¼┼ôShe was this generation’s greatest, greatest singing talent. So we’ll do something over the course of the evening Saturday night to show that ├óΓé¼┬ª It’s very much with me and she’ll be with me.├óΓé¼┬¥

Although Cissy might not agree with his handling of everything, some of Whitney’s family does. Her brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Pat Houston, have accepted Clive’s invitation to the annual bash. Pat revealed why they’ve decided to attend:

├óΓé¼┼ôWe’re going in support of Clive to show our appreciation of him as he honors Whitney.├óΓé¼┬¥

And we hope the event does right by the wonderful Whitney and her untimely death.
