This is defo true. The main girl (who was supposedly threatening to hold out on her contract if she wasn't made the "LC" of the show) is a girl who goes by the name of "KK." She's extremely vapid and has a seriously inflated sense of self-worth. She has an eco friendly fashion blog and gallivants around Georgetown spending her father's internet fortune. She is also a self-proclaimed "jersey chaser" and has dated mediocre athletes all over the city — rumor now is she's dating a professional LACROSSE player. Yeah, those fuckers exist around here. Sad. All you people bitching about California being better, maybe this will shut your traps — the girl is from Palo Alto. She recently moved away from DC to London to attend LSE, but came back only after a couple months. The theory amongst "the scene" (as LNS refers to their small, preppy Georgetown community) is that she stays here and loves it because she gets attention she wouldn't be able to get anywhere else. We all find it hilarious that this attention may finally give her some fame — go figure, it's reality fame, a fame that doesn't require any talent whatsoever. More than fitting.

Also, everyone arguing about what area of the country is richer (get worse, seriously) — from Wiki: "Fairfax County is the most populous jurisdiction in the Greater Washington Area and has the highest median household income ($100,318, the first to reach six figures) of any county in the United States, recently surpassing its neighbor, Loudoun County.[2]" Now, if any of you had brains, you would realize this means the gaps between in the wealthy and less fortunate. It's MEDIAN household income. If you live in Southern California, yes, there are some extremely wealthy people, but there are also LOTS of very poor immigrants (and struggling artists … haha). This brings down your median income number. So, just get over it and realize we're all rich assholes that fight about who has more money. Ah, life in these United States!

  5. inside info says – reply to this

    205

Actually, I retract my previous post — I was thinking average income. "The median household income is commonly used to provide data about geographic areas and divides households into two equal segments with the first half of households earning less than the median household income and the other half earning more.[1] The median income is considered by many statisticians to be a better indicator than the average household income as it is not dramatically affected by unusually high or low values."[2]"

    207

Yes it's true. They are going to start filming at Vineyard Vines and follow the "Young and the Guestlist" Scenesters to thire favorite watering holes to see who is on The List!

Once inside they will be documenting the OPHJ's and USFB's on the SPDF and the GRDF. Secret cameras will be installed in the SPWC to see what happens when people stop being polite and get real.

Episode One is tenatively titled "Murder on the Dance Floor". The credits will of course play Journey's "Don't Stop Believing"

The show is actually less like "The Hills" and more like "Survivor" The whole show is based on who can get to Poundtown first.

Now for anyone who can't translate what was written above please before posting stupid comments on the A Forum read the "Crash Course", take a lap, and then go jump off the Key Bridge!

ewww…DC is lame! They should do a show in nyc…..about a group of girls in the fashion industry again (it IS the best industry!) Im thinking lets have one of the girls go to FIT!!!!

  9. Ashley says – reply to this

    209

They should do The Hills spin-off on the shoreline in connecticut.I live in clinton, its only an hour away from NYC and the surrounding towns are the snottiest, most stuck up places i have ever been to in my life. Not to mention CT is the richest state in the U.S. All the young teens/young adults here love to spend mommy and daddys money.Im from L.A, CT is definetly a big change. If the show came here, it would not be a disappointment to all the people who love watching spoiled brats get whatever they want.

like 2 years ago they were in the works with a Long Island prep school and a group of friends there in efforts to to make a show (east coast version)
they even had the students meet wiht some of the members of \(laguna beach it was at the time)
i think long island is a better setting then washington D.C

  17. hottie1248 says – reply to this

    217

Ok well im sick of watching spoiled brats having reality shows, how are they real again??anyways they should cast real people that have actual real drama in their lives, not just a bunch of wannabe paris hiltons crying over money and boyfriend problems!!They should make a real show like that in DC,Atlanta,NYC,Miami,Chicago,or Toronto.but if they want to make an east coast version they should go to Miami cuz it has all the beaches and big houses.

  18. sparks says – reply to this

wowww. No, you've GOT to be joking me. What's interesting about DC? LA is where it's at! It's HOLLYWOOD. It's EXCITING. The hills, as in the HILLS of HOLLYWOOD. What are they gonna call this show? The Washington Memorial?
    That's so stupid ..
The Hills is one and can't be copied. Just because it's popular, doesn't mean whatever the next show will be. Gimme a break.

  36. yay says – reply to this

    236

I'm so glad they did this. I was just thinking it would be a good show to do on MTV to put on UN or Senate interns so it could get youth more interested in politics/world affairs………

  37. meb07 says – reply to this

    237

boring! I worked on capitol hill for years and nothing juicy would be allowed to be filmed

  38. PUHLEASE says – reply to this

    238

Politics? I think not. The girls being cast for this show are not interested in politics and if they are they are republican. They have joke jobs and the cameras will be sure to follow them from bar to bar to charity party to late night.

This idea has been spun around DC for years, anyone inside the beltway knows it will be a group of slutty interns running around with the Late Night Shots group - not really reflective of the capitol. Leave Hollywood where it belongs.

  52. Bevin says – reply to this

    252

Oh wow! Come on the hills is all we need! some other cheap knock off of this show would be pointless! I think just keep the hills coming! But than again you can never have to much drama! xoxox

  53. devin says – reply to this

i hate d.c. but it's a pretty crazy town. they party and work hard here just like in LA or NYC. butttttttt, the show would be so much better if it were in NYC!!

  59. d vsdv says – reply to this

    259

thats the DUMBEST idea i have ever heard.
not to mention, washington d.c. sucks.

  60. Shiya Laboof says – reply to this

    260

    1. If the show ends up on the air I highly doubt there will be any scenes filmed in Fairfax County. Wealthy as it may be, the strip mall architecture style isn't very tv-friendly.

    2. Pretty sure the show has nothing to do with politics. None of the girls involved have ever worked on the Hill, in the White House or for the government.

    3. I don't think the location being in DC is really that central at all to the show. If it ends up on the air, it will likely be filmed in that city because that is where the social networking website on which the show is loosely based is most popular.

  61. dc gal says – reply to this

    261

hell yes, we need need some spice in dc

  62. Emily says – reply to this

    262

I know of the girls who are casted for this show, its based off the networking site latenightshots.com. NYC is so overrated and huge, what makes DC better than NYC is that people know nothing of the DC Scene, and instead of walking supermodels on every corner, it is real, hardworking young women. They are all beautiful too. This show will be huge, and if you dont live in DC then you wont understand why until you see it.

  65. christina says – reply to this

    265

I think it's an alright idea to do it on the east coast, but why not a more popular spot? Like NYC, Newport RI, or somewhere in connecticut? Places where people rich with drama would be more predictable?

    East Coast ~> good idea.
    D.C. ~> notttt so good.

  66. caroline says – reply to this

    266

Sorry, we're far too classy for that new-money drama bullshit here. Someone should tell those girls that class includes not waving your money or mediocre problems around in other people's faces. You can keep your faux-drama, LA, and don't let it infect DC.

  67. agreewithcaitlin says – reply to this

    267

    271

sounds like they're four out of towners… washington's real political princesses are listed in the Green Book and I doubt MTV has access to that so it's not really a reality show after all

  72. Britt says – reply to this

    272

ew. why? nothing interesting happens in DC
if this pulls through, its going to be so….generic and tedious

  73. OMG says – reply to this

    273

I recently moved to Fairfax County from Dc and I've been waiting for a Real World DC foreverr!!! Everybody thinks Dc is all about politics just because of what they've been seeing on tv but its way more than that. The nightlife is amazing the people are actually intelligent. I'm so sick of shows in NYC and LA they are so overrated. Once you see the show you'll realize it is just as fun and crazy as any other city

    Hmmmmmmmm……………………………………..

Yes, base the show on poor, unattractive hipsters and the bankrupt website on which they congregate daily. Clearly you have a nose for good television.

  78. FYI says – reply to this

    278

You could play quarters on Katherine Kennedy's rear end. She has an attitude and the body to back it up.

  79. the 411 part one says – reply to this

    279

to the post above me. of the four girls casted, a couple are in the green book so you may want to get your facts straight before you dive into something you have no knowledge of.

here is the REAL 411 of the show, four girls- the georgetown scene, including the main hotspots- Smith Point, The Rookery, Gryphon Room yadda yadda. Dont even think about trying to get into these bars once filming starts, LIST only. These girls are always on the top of the lists and get invited to everything via latenightshots.com, the networking site that holds the top scenesters, and wannabes of DC. a.k.a LNS is the true gossip girl website, with forums photos and gossip galore
All four of the girls live in their own houses in georgetown.
    quick bio of the cast.

  80. the 411 part two says – reply to this

    280

the first of the cast is Katherine Kennedy, voila-blonde, beautiful owns her own website and is considered to be the socialite of dc. she graces the covers of many local magazines and owns a blog too which she writes all about her charity work.
Johnson sisters, Krista and Alexa. Krista owns her own boutique in georgetown with a couple friends. alexa (younger sister) tends to be the life of the party. These two are pretty close to kennedy, and are also close to the fourth castmate, which is where things get interesting.
Sophie Pyle, the striking brunette, is younger and all over the georgetown scene. like the other girls, she is invited to the best gatherings, but also new and still a rookie to the attention she recieves. kennedy and pyle are never seen together which is where the drama is destined to begin.
it is predicted that kennedy will be the lc, with feuding battles between pyle- leaving the johnson sisters stuck in the middle.
with a hills inspired show stuck in the true heart of america, this show-as all other shows-will be a hit or miss. hopefully the fresh faces and a new setting on tv, away from the celebrity glitz and glamour of california, will give all viewers a sense of relation to the life of real city girls.

The prize of the show, who did not sign on, was Andrea Rodgers, a 35-year old divorced bon vivant who has had a couple high profile relationships with minor league baseball players and other Georgetown heavy hitters. It could be hard for the show to get off the ground without her.

    287

wow okay no 35 year old would have even made 1st cut. these girls are all in their early 20s… sophie is barely 20, and the show will definently make it without a 35 year old hag

    288

A Laguna Beach 'East' was attempted by the producer of 24 for Fox Network about 3 years ago based in Atlantic City, NJ. Of course it was not picked up because they didn't really have much of a story. They were trying to spin it around people who actually work to live near the beach.

  89. Don't you eva says – reply to this

    289

It will not be remotely the same or as popular. The Hills works because of Lauren. People are interested in her, and she has a quality that for some reason has struck a chord with the audience. Doubtful you could throw together 4 random east coast girls and have it be remotely interesting. Plus, it would be nearly impossible to find an annoying tard as stupid as Heidi.

  90. district101 says – reply to this

    290

between GW and Gtown…. there are plenty to spoiled rich kids to entertain the audiences.

  93. Melissa says – reply to this

    293

Bad idea…The hills was great because its a bunh of shallow, stylish party girls…Thats entertaining…A show based in washington would be too serious and that will take away from the appeal of the Hills…Plus the hills without Lauren?!

    eww. no no no.

The only reason that The Hills worked out is that we got to see Lauren after her stint on Laguna.
You can't just go out and give us new people.
    Umm Laguna Beach season 3?!
    or
what was that other, Newport Harbor?
