South Park Censored After Receiving Threats "Warnings" From Islamic Website

Guess Matt Stone and Trey Parker didn’t want to risk ending up like Theo Van Gogh.

This weeks episode of South Park was greatly censored after the show’s creators received what Abu Talhah al Amrikee called a “warning” following the 200th episode.

For episode 201, Comedy Central gave into the Islamic website’s threats and censor blocked the bear suit wearing Prophet Muhammad as well as bleeping out certain audio.

South Park issued a statement on their website saying:

After we delivered the show, and prior to broadcast, Comedy Central placed numerous additional audio bleeps throughout the episode. We do not have network approval to stream our original version of the show.

While we understand the network’s decision was an effort to protect Matt and Trey, was it really the best idea to give into these despicable threats? It’ll only add fuel to their extremist fire.
