Lance vs. Reichen's Bitter War of Words

101506_spn_bass_reiken11.jpg

Living up to his status as a royal douche, Z-lister Reichen is making legal threats against ex-boyfriend Lance Bass.

Seems like the Ken Doll lookalike with plastic brains is upset that Princess Frostylocks wrote about him and their troubled relationship in his new autobiography, Out Of Sync.

Trying to make himself look better, Reichen just wrote this post on his official MySpace blog, which just makes him look much much worse.

Douhce!

Star Magazine and The National Enquirer (Reichen) Lawyer Articles

In response to all of the MySpace email I am receiving surrounding this matter…

Please do not take literally the stories running this week in these particular magazines about me and my ex-relationship.  No one is suing anyone, and all is well.

I chose to NOT fight back against the slander, fed to the media by my ex-relationship, by using my own gift of a voice in the media, as a way to air my own many and very strong personal feelings about my past relationship.

Instead, my representation, in an act of concern, simply sent an appropriate letter to those responsible, asking that attempts to paint me in a negative light with blatant and unnecessary lies and deceit, please stop.  It ends there.  Nothing else is happening.

The request is simple.  It is my wish that my ex-relationship discontinue referring to me in the media in association with expressing his personal feelings about me, that he discontinue attacking my current relationship(s) in the print-media and, more than anything, that all events, including the drama surrounding them, from that year of my life, simply go away.  I choose to no longer pay attention to it.

These and various previous slanderous remarks about me are invalid, false, and meant for damage, and are being used in an attempt to sway public opinion in the favor of another's image in an unfair way.  I prefer to no longer be a part of these attemps.  I prefer to be removed from any such plan to promote another.

For my own peace of mind, this is a time that I would like to forget ever happened.

The relationship in question, and the drama that surrounded it, destroyed much of what I have worked to accomplish and stand for, what I've worked to be associated with, and how I am viewed as an individual.  I could have never imagined the severity of damage such a relationship would inflict on me and those around me.  It is up to me to ask that efforts to continue this type of negative impact on my life discontinue, which is what I have done, through my representation.

My final wish, surrounding this matter, from an overall outside perspective, is that I am no longer associated with this ex-relationship or the people involved in prolonging its existence, and that I'm no longer associated with that time of my life, in general.  I do, however, continue to wish all those involved–the very best in their own lives, away from mine.

I stood as my own person before all of it (when I was not considered "so-and-so's boyfriend"), and will be much happier to be considered, and to consider myself, someone who stands on his own, once again.

Thank you,

-Reichen"

SIGHting

Spotted: Lance Bass enjoying the most of his book tour! The former Nsyncer was drinking up a storm and getting very friendly with a tall blonde guy at Dallas gay club S4 on Sunday night.

Update: Lance partied so hard that he missed his interview Monday morning with In The Loop with iVillage, who are not pleased. He had his people cancel late Sunday evening, at 10:30 P.M.

Princess Frostylocks, New & Improved

cornyc2007-082.jpg

Seems like Lance Bass has had a bit of an attitude adjustment when meeting fans recently.

One lucky reader, Maura, had a very special meeting with the former Nsyncer, currently starring on Broadway in Hairspray, and we thought it was too sweet and had to share.

She says:

"I got to the Neil Simon Theater close to 10:30-11 AM. I was set with my gifts for Lance. Finally, at 1:45 PM (The first show started at 2), Lance arrived. Because he was in a hurry, our first meeting was relatively brief. You can see it on the video above. We didn't have tickets to the show so we went to eat and were back by the stage door by 4 PM. At this time, we were the only ones there and the show hadn't ended yet. It was then that a lady walked out the stage door and said, 'Is there a Maura here?' I was stunned. I told her it was me and she said, 'I'm Lisa, Lance's assistant. He wants to bring you backstage for your birthday.' I sobbed. My sister, cousin, and mom sobbed. Lisa said she might cry. I couldn't believe what was happening.

Lisa brought a small girl (around four years old) backstage with her father, and one of Lance's friends. We went backstage and were literally standing on the stage waiting for Lance. People were running around with wigs that were worn in the show and we saw the whole set. It was crazy. Lance came out and talked with the small girl about none other than Zac Efron. He got a picture and came over to me. I was crying and couldn't stop thanking him. In that moment, there were a million things I could have said, but all that I came out was, 'This is my dream'. He laughed shyly and gave me a hug. It was incredible. I won't include all of the details, but I managed to get the best birthday present that I could ever imagine. I met him before and after the show I had tickets to, also.

Lance did absolutely amazing in the show. I was so proud. His voice is amazing and his dancing is really improved, not that I ever had a problem with his dancing in the first place. He made me laugh, smile, and cry. I am so lucky to have experienced this, Lance seemed so comfortable and, more importantly, happy.

How people could claim that Lance is mean or ungrateful to his fans is completely out of line. Lance went out of his way to make me happy. The experience is one that I never want to forget and will be thankful for as long as I live. I have always been proud to be a fan of this amazing man, but now more than ever. It actually disgusts me that people could say such hurtful things about someone so generous and caring and thoughtful. He deserves every pint of success he has had, and deserves happiness in everything that he does. I can't wait to see what he has in store next, and to hopefully have the pleasure of meeting him again."

Bumping Bussies

There once was a time when Lance Bass pretended to be straight. He even had a few D-list beards back in the day, like Topanga from Boy Meets World.

Tyra Banks had Princess Frostylocks on her show yesterday and Danielle Fishel tells the brilliant interviewer that is Tyty whether she and Lance ever "copulated" or "did the nasty."

Pure comedy!

Lance Bass was the biggest celeb there????

Nautica held their Spring 2008 show on Wednesday as part of New York Fashion Week. The former NSync-er star front row.

Doesn't he hate New York? He probably isn't into fashion either! But he sure likes ogling at the male models. Who doesn't????

Lance Bass Is A Liar

101506_spn_bass_reiken16.jpg

We love this drama! It's long, but worth it!

Princess Frostylocks just got OWNED by New York magazine.

Check it out:

Lance Bass Learns About Damage Control

In this week's issue of the magazine, former 'N Sync star Lance Bass talks to New York's Jada Yuan about battling the city's real-estate market (he's in town to appear in Hairspray on Broadway): "There's a lot of crap here for a lot of money," he said. "I don't think anyone here has any style. I was looking at fully furnished places and it was like, you can either have a bunch of floral prints or some dusty couch from the 1960s."

He also told us about dining at Justin Timberlake's restaurant: "I've been up there a few times … But it's really up there. The Upper East Side? I'm not in college anymore."

But now Bass feels compelled to impugn our reporting, both on his MySpace page and in a statement to Vulture. See the statement, and our refutation, below.

We were going to be nice about this, because we're actually quite fond of Bass, but then we heard that he called Ms. Yuan a dumb reporter on MySpace. So we invite Bass to breath deeply, stop reading Perez Hilton (who posted the story on his own site under the typically over-the-top headline, "Lance Bass Hates New York City"), and take some lessons in reading comprehension. Bass's beef boils down to two points — he says he didn't say New Yorkers have no style, and he does go to Justin Timberlake's restaurant. Oh, and he really loves New York!

New York would like to make the following points: (1) We stand by the interview; Bass was not misquoted. (2) Bass is not quoted as saying New Yorkers have no style — it's clear that he's referring to the apartments he looked at. (3) The piece also does not suggest that Bass doesn't hang out at Justin Timberlake's restaurant. In fact, it specifically quotes him as saying he goes there. (4) Though Bass's quote about his dancing ability ("I was the worst dancer in the band") has not been called into question, we'd like to reiterate that Bass was, indeed, the worst dancer in 'N Sync. (5) Bass now says he's going bi-coastal; he never mentioned that to us, but we're glad to hear it! Welcome to New York, Lance.

Here's his letter in full:

Last week your reporter called me on my cell phone to ask me a number of questions in conjunction with my joining the cast of the Broadway hit musical Hairspray. She came to see me in the show but she didn't come to the after party so she requested an interview later.

I made the comment to her (that she recorded so there is no excuse for the misquote) that when trying to find an apartment here, the first two I looked at had no style. She reported that I said New Yorkers had no style, which I never said. What was conveniently left out was my statement that I am having a great time here, I love the city and I now plan to get a permanent residence here and be bi-coastal.

Later in the story the writer suggests that I don't hang out at Justin's restaurant. I have been to Justin's restaurant a number of times, and have taken my fellow cast members to it on many occasions as well.

I'm sorry floral print couches were reported on in my piece and nothing mentioned of this incredible musical, Hairspray, that I am in and how excited I am to be working and living among some of the greatest people on the planet.

Sincerely,
Lance Bass
Proud New Yorker

Rumor control on New York magazine article

Seriously! Here we go again! Cant believe I actually have to write this… this is just not a good week for me press wise… what did i do?!

So here goes… for those that read the New York mag article… I said none of those negative quotes! I expect bloggers to print fake things and its all in fun.. but when a real journalist misquotes me and prints fake quotes that I "said".. that is just crazy!! And, I dont think legally they can do that! Can they? This dumb reporter just put words in my mouth and turned everything I said into a negative. I told her I love NY and I will probably be doing the bi-coastal thing now because I love it so much. I told her the first few apts I looked at were pieces of crap and the owners had no style at all… that turned into "Lance thinks New Yorkers have no style!" Then I told her I eat at Justins new place all the time, but it is really far away in the upper east side and always full of a college crowd. She turned that into " Lance doesnt go to Justins restaurant cause its too far away and he doesnt like it because he is not in college anymore!" Um.. I didnt go to college, why the hell would I say that!

This girl should be working for the enquirer instead of a legit magazine!

If there ever was a need for a retraction this would be it– and hope NY Magazine will do the right thing and write one.

I am no longer going to defend myself on articles such as these. But, I felt I had to because I just moved to this amazing city and feel so at home.I do NOT want anyone here to think I hate it.

If you would like to write a nice little letter to the writer of the article her name is Jada Yuan and she works for New York magazine.

On a lighter note– went to the US Open today and watched Federer kick some ass and Spain's Fernando Verdasco had the most amazing nail biting comeback I have ever seen!!!! He won in the 5th set."

Lance Bass Hates New York City

mx0032502.jpg

This item from New York magazine speaks for itself.

Lance Bass is here for a few months to star as Corny Collins in Hairspray. He’s not sure he likes New York so much. First off, it took three weeks, and three brokers, to find an apartment. “There’s a lot of pieces of crap here for a lot of money,” he says. “And I don’t think anyone here has any style. I was looking at fully furnished places and it was like, you can either have a bunch of floral prints or some dusty couch from the 1960s.” But he’s adapting. “My walking pace has picked up a lot,” he says. “And apparently I’m ruder. I read that someone met me at a club and told me I looked great and I was like, ‘Don’t even think about taking a picture.’ Which really sounds like me. And then they printed a picture they’d taken of me, which makes even less sense.” He’s not hanging out at fellow ’N Sync alum Justin Timberlake’s barbecue joint. “I’ve been a few times,” he says. “But it’s really up there. The Upper East Side? I’m not in college anymore.” And, after coming out of the closet not so long ago, he has another startling admission to make: “I was the worst dancer in the band. I kind of hate to dance.”
